Medical Maintenance Work

Maintenance work is divided into three types:
Periodic preventive maintenance: It is responsible for the continued operation of the medical or scientific device with high efficiency and quality and is determined based on the number of actual working hours of the device or each specific period of time regardless of the working hours of the device, depending on the type and classification of the device.
An annual plan is made for all devices that specifies the dates of preventive maintenance required for each device separately according to the recommendations of the manufacturing companies or the recommendations of accredited international bodies.
Corrective maintenance: It is responsible for removing emergency malfunctions that occur to the devices during their operation.
The company's engineers make a repair request according to the approved forms and submit it to the university administration in charge according to the procedures followed and approved for the maintenance team.

Calibration: It is responsible for adjusting the results of the device and verifying them using standard samples or standard calibration equipment.
An annual plan is prepared for all devices, specifying the dates of preventive maintenance required for each device individually, according to the recommendations of the manufacturing companies or the recommendations of accredited international bodies. Then, the calibration order is submitted to the relevant university administration, according to the procedures followed and approved for the maintenance team.

Medical Maintenance Engineer Tasks

Performing maintenance and operation tasks for medical devices, testing them and re-operating them with maximum efficiency for a contract period of three years at the headquarters of Bisha University and managing the maintenance and operation of all medical devices according to what is approved by the University's Services and Equipment Department, in terms of management, operation, maintenance work, repair of faults, etc., including:

Developing periodic and preventive maintenance plans and programs and supervising their implementation.
Studying the locations of devices, laboratories and laboratories.
Developing a periodic preventive maintenance plan and following up with the assigned management and supervising implementation.
Making repair orders and following up on maintenance orders, approving them and closing them.
Testing and approving equipment and tools used for work.
Approving spare parts and ensuring their compliance with standard specifications.
Conducting a study of the devices and equipment that follow the center.Operating and controlling equipment and means.
Auditing device operating methods to identify shortcomings

General work of the work team

Maintenance of medical and scientific devices (preventive and therapeutic)
Maintenance and operation of laboratory devices, equipment and tools in laboratories, laboratories and workshops.
Any other work specified by the University’s Educational Services and Equipment Department.
